Vladikavkaz Resident Faces Criminal Charges for Anti-War Comment on VKontakte
"Is it disgraceful for the entire republic to admit that this is not your war and you had no right to get involved? Your ancestors are turning in their graves, looking at you, you mankurts, traitors of the Caucasus. It has always been free, and now you have been made slaves and sent to kill peaceful people for the golden toilets of that idiot in the Kremlin, and you swallow it, just like you swallowed Beslan, where he killed your children. Life teaches you nothing; invaders are your heroes, and you owe them something. Who attacked you, who are you saving yourselves from? Just yesterday, you despised this power, and today you are dying for it because you saw money and sold yourselves to it."
This comment on VKontakte has become the basis for initiating a new criminal case against a resident of Vladikavkaz under the article for "discrediting" the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Teona Kelekhsaeva wrote these words under a news post in the Emergency/Vladikavkaz group in October 2022. Among other things, she stated in the comments that she did not feel sorry for "mercenaries who went to kill for money and invaded another country."
The authorities first became interested in Kelekhsaeva in May 2022. At that time, she faced administrative charges "for publishing a video that discredited the Special Military Operation" and was ultimately fined 30,000 rubles. This did not stop her, and in January 2023, employees of the FSB of Russia in North Ossetia reported that they had established her "involvement in public calls to obstruct the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the Special Military Operation." In May last year, a criminal case was opened against Teona Kelekhsayeva, and she was fined 100,000 rubles for "discrediting" the army.
