Pro-Russian military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky died after an explosion at his "creative meeting" on April 2
Since then, have been emerging almost every hour new details of what happened. We present you with the last information about this event of the day.
Maxim Fomin, known under the pseudonym "Vladlen Tatarsky" was a 40-year-old author of the Telegram channel about the war in Ukraine, which has more than half a million followers. Tatarsky is known for his statement in September 2022 during Putin's signing of the decree on the annexation of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Then he said: "We will defeat everyone, we will kill everyone, we will rob everyone, we will rob everyone, everything will be as we love." During Fomin’s performance at the "creative evening" in the cafe Street Food Bar No. 1 there was an explosion: one person was killed and about 40 were injured. Russian security forces claim that the murder was planned by the special services of Ukraine with the involvement of people from the FBK. The Russian government has declared this murder “a terrorist attack”. Associates of Alexei Navalny deny any involvement in the explosion. According to several sources, Trepova has already been detained at rallies in support of the Navalny in 2021. But, according to her friends, she was not an activist of his structures. Supporters of Navalny write that the FBK was attached to this case as expected: it is convenient for the Russian authorities to accuse the structures of Navalny of terrorism just before the court, where Navalny can be given 35 years for "extremism".
Eyewitnesses told reporters that shortly before the explosion, one of the visitors presented Tatarsky with a statuette. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the power of the detonated explosive device was from 300 to 450 g of TNT equivalent. It was activated remotely. A few hours later, it became clear that the girl wanted by the security forces in connection with the explosion was 26-year-old Daria Trepova. Her house was searched, and later she was detained in the apartment of her husband's friend. Soon, the Interior Ministry released a video of Trepova's interrogation. A voiceover asks her if she understands what she was detained for. "I would say that for staying at the scene of the murder of Vladlen Tatarsky," she answers. Trepova added that she brought a statuette to the cafe, which exploded. When asked who handed over the statuette, Trepova replied: "Can I tell you later?" Trepova's husband believes that she was framed. In his opinion, she "would never have been able to do something like this of her own free will." He said that Daria and he himself did not support the war in Ukraine but consider "such actions unacceptable." Telegram channel Shot claimed that after the arrest, Trepova's first words were: "I was framed! I was just being used." A news source Fontanka claims to have read the details of Trepova's interrogation. According to them, she allegedly received assignments from a "certain activist" in a telegram and during the interrogation said that he offered her to move to Kiev and promised to arrange for her to be an editor in one of the Ukrainian media. For this, Trepova allegedly had to "prove that she could fight Russian propaganda here and now." Daria said that she was allegedly tasked with getting closer to Tatarsky, "in order to recruit him in the future, and then she was given the statuette." Shot, citing Trepova's words, wrote that the curator informed her that there was a listening device inside the bust.
Blogger Marat Arnis, who was present at the meeting, published a video that shows how Trepova gives Tatarsky a box with a sculpture. He invites her to sit next to her and at the same time unpacks the gift. The video is interrupted allegedly by an explosion. Later, another video appeared - on another channel controlled by security forces. In it, Tatarsky manages to put the sculpture in a box and continues to answer questions from the audience. Then there is an explosion. The video was shot (or cropped) so that the place where Trepova sat does not fall into the frame - it is not clear whether she was there at that moment or not. Some media claimed that she left the café before the explosion. But at the same time, there are videos that show how Trepova allegedly left the building after the incident: in the frame you can really see traces of destruction from the explosion. Adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak earlier called the murder of Tatarsky a manifestation of "internal political struggle" in Russia. "In Russia, it begins ... Spiders eat each other in a jar," he said. “He was already calmly waiting for his transfer. And then he is again announced the order to be sent there, "says Tarasova. - The command understood that he was one of those who had already refused, and the issue of transfer had already been resolved. And yet they issued another order. He refused it too. And then a case is brought against him."
The case of physician Denis Vasiliev is still under investigation. The case of Buddhist Lieutenant Dmitry Vasilets should soon be transferred to the court.
