A resident of Irkutsk has been sentenced to a suspended term in a case involving military "fakes."
The Sverdlovsk District Court of Irkutsk has sentenced a local resident to 1.5 years of suspended imprisonment in a case involving military "fakes." The person in question is Kamelia Slish. On May 22, the same court issued a verdict according to the case file. The woman was found guilty under the article regarding "fakes" about the Russian army (Part 1, Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). She was also given a two-year probationary period. In December 2022, law enforcement officers conducted a search in her apartment and confiscated her husband's belongings, including electronic devices. After that, the couple was taken to the Center "E," where, according to the woman, they were interrogated for nine hours. During the questioning, they were asked about a friend from Ukraine and shown screenshots of posts and reposts on VKontakte from March to April 2022. In February, Slish was unaware of her procedural status in the case and noted that she had been summoned by the Investigative Committee. In May, OVD-Info reported that a criminal case had been initiated against her regarding "fakes," and at that time, the materials had already been transferred to the court. Slish also told the publication "Siberia. Realities" that the criminal case was initiated due to posts and reposts in a Telegram channel made between March and May 2022. Among them was a frame depicting people in camouflage clothing shooting civilians. "I wrote my comment on top of that repost: 'Killers, inhuman beings, monsters'," Slish informed journalists.
